Light and Dark
One of my favorite ideas to play with is contrast, color contrast specifically. Chiaroscuro has always been an inspiration of mine, and so I have always played with light in my work. The works below are strong examples of this combination of light and dark, accented with color. I think the balance of light and dark that this style creates is excellent for drawing attention in my peices.

Iteration is a crucial part of my process. No character looks right the first time around, and I find the characters I choose to iterate on come out better than the ones I don't. With a shift to digital art rather than physical art, it can be hard to document the process, but it shows in my work.
